Woodburning fireplaces and the wood that burns in them... if I were a squirrel, I'd check the bushiness of my tail to figure out how much wood to order

Decisions... decisions... how much firewood is enough?

Last year, we put in enough to supply our two buildings with enough wood to burn during every weekend in the five guest rooms that have woodburning fireplaces. Figured: enough people will want to get out of town and listen to the snow fall in southern Vermont. Had plenty left over.

This year, we're set.

But what if?

Christmas in Vermont can be very busy... and what better time to cuddle in front of a fire than New Year's Eve on a crisp Vermont winter evening at a country inn ... get in a little cross country skiing ... sit in front of a fire ... cuddle ... read a book. How little is enough? How much is too much?
