Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing conditions 12/9/04

Cross Country Ski X-C and Snowshoe Conditions, Southern Vermont, Putney...
Update. Winter is still mild in southern Vermont, but we drove up past Ascutney and the treelines looked like they were frosted with sugar. Quite beautiful.
Today was the fourth snowfall of the season. About an inch. Watch this space for reports on snowfall, weather, snowshoeing conditions and cross country ski trail updates at Hickory Ridge House - your winter vacation headquarters in southern Vermont. Hickory Ridge House has groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoe paths on premises, and is within 20 to 45 minutes drive of Nordic and alpine skiing centers, including Grafton Ponds Nordic Ski Center, Ascutney, the Brattleboro Outing Club, Maple Valley and other winter outdoor sports facilities. Other southern Vermont ski facilities, including Mount Snow, Okemo, Haystack and Stratton, are a slightly longer drive.
