A moderate winter... waiting for more snow... all my older friends wink and say: "just wait"... vacationers still say it's beautiful up here... snowmaking north and west, with reports that most trails are open... Watch this space for reports on snowfall, weather, snowshoeing conditions and cross country ski trail updates at Hickory Ridge House Southern Vermont Bed and Breakfast Inn - a New England winter vacation destination in southern Vermont.
Hickory Ridge House has groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing on premises, and is within 45 minutes drive of Nordic and alpine skiing centers, including Grafton Ponds Nordic Ski Center, Ascutney, the Brattleboro Outing Club, and other winter outdoor sports facilities. Other southern Vermont ski facilities, including Mount Snow, Okemo, Haystack and Stratton, are a slightly longer drive.
